I'm commenting on the first cartoon about student loans. This perfectly depicts real life. A lot of my major life changing decisions were sparked by the fact that I can't be up to my ears in student loans. I have to move off campus and back home in the fall to attend Eastern Kentucky University's extended campus in Corbin, Kentucky to lower my student loans. It may be unrealistic to wish student loans were not a worry at all, but it would not be a bad idea.

I am commenting on Signe Wilkinson's in slate. Although it takes a humorous perspective, this is an overwhelming topic and gets my blood boiling. Student loans have effected many major decisions in my life and have stopped me from attending the school of my dreams. I am moving off of campus next semester because the cost of living on campus are too high. It may be extremely unrealistic but by diminishing student loans other people would have more opportunity.

Is there something wrong to expect you might have to take out a loan to pay for your education? Sorry, but student loans are peanuts compared to the loan you are going to end up with if you buy your house. At least with student loans you usually qualify unlike many non educational loans.
