Attorney's Office Wants More Time In Felner Case

This from WLKY:

Robert Felner Faces Fraud Charges

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The U.S. attorney's office said it needs more time to prepare its case against a former University of Louisville dean accused of fraud.

Prosecutors said former education dean Robert Felner fraudulently obtained more than $2 million in grant and contract money from U of L and the University of Rhode Island.

Felner's attorneys argue investigators violated Felner's rights when they interrogated him and want his statements excluded from the case.

In a motion filed Monday, prosecutors have asked a judge for two weeks to respond to Felner's request.
