CPE hires firm to find new leader

This from C-J:

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education will pay a Florida firm no more than $165,000 to help it conduct a search for a new president.

The council's presidential search committee met yesterday and agreed on a contract with Greenwood/Asher & Associates Inc. that would include a professional fee of $130,000 and estimated expenses of $35,000...
And PLEASE CPE...for everyone's sake...read their reports...select your favorites...listen during interviews...ask good questions...narrow down your finalists...then follow up with your own research to make sure there aren't any skeletons in the closet. Conduct our own due diligence!

Outsource the labor - not the responsibility for decision making.
