Kentucky is in the bible belt and a couple of young Kentuckians used their knowledge of the good book to win a national title.
10 year olds Alivia Bierly and Colton Thayer are the pride of Tollesboro, Kentucky after winning the recent Bible National Championship in Kansas City (video).
The two began competing in the beginner division, and continued to improve once they got to Kansas City.
Most of the competitors in Kansas City were part of 4 person teams from much larger churches, but Colton and Alivia were determined to put Tollesboro on the map.
Only when they came home did their achievement sink in. They tell us it was a shock for them when they won the nationals and were really excited.
