Frustrations surface in Jefferson County Superintendent Search

Random quotes:
"Given the recent turn of events in the search for a new JCPS superintendent -- two of the three finalists have dropped out -- I wonder if our school board has changed its opinion of Stephen Daeschner."
~
Now our single remaining candidate is a man with distinguished schooling. But I find it difficult to believe that Sheldon Berman has the experience necessary to bring the cohesiveness and results wanted for JCPS… Our special-needs students far outnumber his district's entire student population.
~
"Our current superintendent is getting a salary increase of $24,000, to $225,000, to go from a district with 98,000 students in a major metropolitan/diverse school district to a district with 29,000 in Aurora, Ill. The current leading candidate for the position is coming from a district with only 2,900 students. Something is really wrong. "
